With people like the “burn her crew” of sikhsangat.com, how can anyone have any say or any kind of debate  regarding Bachittar Natak or whatever the name they call it now?

Its only going to be one sided. Those who do not have the same point of view as the likes of Maha Bapu Inder Singh will be either banned, put under moderation and have their replies simply deleted.

Vegetarians Avoid Cancer??

This is the title of a topic in sikhphilosophy.net. Wasnt Linda Macartney an ardent pusher of vegetarianism. Did she not die of cancer?

As we well know, Gurbani tells us not to fight over whether to be a vegetarian or not.

I wonder what is going on in the little grey cells of those who push vegetarianism and associate this with religious script and or religion.

Homosexuality and the Soul bride

I just glanced briefly in Sikhphilosophy.net and noticed a  topic under hard talk section on the subject of homosexuality.

NOTE: I am not including the AC-DC’s and neither am I including the one’s who indulge in KAM knowingly.

My 2 pence worth:

In Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, We are All refered to as the “Soul Brides”. So who are to we say who is a homosexual or not and who are we to say whether homosexuality is right or wrong.

By His Command, souls come into being; by His Command, glory and greatness are obtained.

ਹੁਕਮੀ ਉਤਮੁ ਨੀਚੁ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਦੁਖ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਈਅਹਿ ॥

hukmee utam neech hukam likh dukh sukh paa-ee-ah.

By His Command, some are high and some are low; by His Written Command, pain and pleasure are obtained.

Ardas or Bribing Akal Purakh?

Whilst approving the comments, I am listening to http://www.maltongurughar.com/ and there is a wonderful katha going on the subject of “Ardas”.

The kathakar mentioned something about how we tend to make demands or bribes on Akal Purakh.. “if you cure me, I will …”, “Make my business prosper and I will….”

Are we always bribing Akal Purkah during Ardass Benti? More on this subject later.
