I think unless the true understanding of Gurbanee is presented in its true perspective nothing is likely to change. The attemps and intentions are good no doubt about this..Such attempts may be continued but,
One should understand that deep rooted ignorance can be removed only thru
superimposition of Truth.
There is need to be self analytic about our own aberrations regarding Gurbanee.
Dry-shiva-bar-moye-is not from holy sh. Guru Granth Sahib ji. And holy Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji nowhere commends shiva as a giver. So any Sikh prayer prayer is prayer to akal Parakh wahiguru and not individual Hindu deities like shiva.
I would like to make point that Shiva is not a deity. In Hindu Philosophy under Shiva are the deities as Brahma,Vishanu and Mahesh. Shiva is a NIRAKAAR
SWAROOP of NIRGUN BRAHM in Context of AKAAR of the Universe and other VISIBLE Objects. In Gurbaanee the reference is always as SHIV-SAKTI together.
According to Gurbaanee One is required to do prayer before Prabhu Abinaasee only.
