Lohri is an indian festival of fire worship and to celebrate the birth of baby boys.
Lohri is celebrated by punjabis when a boy is born into their family. HEARTY Congratulations are poured into that family.
When a girl is born into a family there is no celebration and no congratulations. It seems that someone has died.
My message to Sikhs – if you celebrate lohri or are intending to – you better call yourself a PUNJABI and NOT a SIKH.
